Sun in Capricorn, opposes the Moon in Cancer at 5°

If you have been following along for a bit you probably know I love the Capricorn/ Cancer axis.

The Moon in Cancer is nurturing, this *sounds* like a Christmas Moon if I ever saw one, but looks aren’t always what they seem. The milk and cookies thing? Totally Cancer Moon Coded, however the Moon in Cancer can be moody and sensitive. Cancer is a protective, sometimes food oriented sign. Go build a ginger bread house and bake some bread. Nurture that inner child. It also is related to family which can be a difficult topic for many at this time of year.

The Sun in Capricorn trines Jupiter in Taurus and sextiles Saturn in Pisces.

It gives guidance on some unfinished ideas and allows us to apply enough discipline to tie up some loose ends. Jupiter allows us to take to take it higher and Saturn gives a final push. If you’ve been putting something off there may be feelings of regret or general sadness.

Mercury is Retrograde in Sagittarius at 25° sitting next to Mars with Mars trining the North Node in Aries and squaring Neptune in Pisces.

This aspect feels helpful to long term growth even though we definitely aren’t seeing the big picture with that Neptune square. It may feel like we aren’t making headway or something is standing in the way of happiness. Stay flexible and watch your words, don’t get locked in your feelings, and go with the flow.

If you need to course correct, think about what things you could invite into your life to make it better? What actually needs to change. Think about it but don’t act just yet.

The New Year happens in the Spring energetically, I use winter to organize and solidify what I want to create in the Spring, I start dreaming about it. 

If you want to make your goals more personal to you and your chart I suggest doing it when the Sun starts transiting your first house. I generally start feeling more alive then.

Overall, this moon feels like it may be clearing cobwebs. Cancer has a tendency to always be looking in the rear view. Capricorn encourages us to place one foot in front of the other. Adjust your rear view mirror if you have to but the destination is that way.
