Sun in Virgo opposes the Moon at 7° Pisces and Saturn R at 3° Pisces on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, 06:14:30 PM AKST adding a somber tone for this Full Moon
Pisces is a deep, sensitive sign, dealing with consciousness, and as the final sign of the zodiac perhaps a return home to our highest self.
Are we tapped into our intuition? Are we connected to ourselves and can we trust that we know what is needed for our next phase?
Combined with Saturn this opposition with the Sun is a push and pull.
Even a Jupiter-ruled Saturn can feel very heavy, almost like it amplifies Saturn’s themes. Saturn rules limitations, creating boundaries, and honoring our responsibilities.
Opposite the Sun it can feel like our vitality is low, or like there’s a desire to shirk all responsibility for the “self”(the opposition), or even dramatic events occurring that can show us what needs to be addressed for our highest good. I think it is important to remember here we have quite a few planets retrograde. Venus, Mercury, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto, and Uranus.
Retrograde planets can express themselves on a bell curve, sometimes behaving almost erratically, they are not straightforward. Retrograde periods are best for taking stock and getting caught up with your day-to-day.
The outer planets (Uranus, Pluto, and Neptune) do spend a lot of time Retrograde, however, you can let that be permission to take things slowly.
Mercury R in Virgo at 19° trines Uranus at 23° Taurus and Jupiter at 15°
Mercury themes are amplified and made erratic here. Mercury (especially in Virgo) can feel like tripping a live wire.
There’s instability in the air, Uranus shifts things, Mercury deals with logistics and Jupiter amplifies or even blows out of proportion. With this many Retrograde planets consider taking stock, shift your plan if you need to, and above all trust that you know what is best for you on your path.
Neptune R in Pisces 28 ° Sextiles Uranus R at 23° Taurus and Pluto R at 28° in Capricorn. This aspect is definitely what you make of it.
It can be one of delusion and power struggle, but it can also be one based on creativity and transformation.
Mars has entered Libra at 2° strife has a new tone to it, as it begins to transit the nodes and Chiron later in September I can imagine we will dealing with a lot of shadowy themes and perhaps passive aggressiveness later in the month. Libra isn’t always balanced, sometimes it amplifies where things are uneven and tips the scale.
Venus 12° R Squares Jupiter 15° Our Venus retrograde is coming to an end before it makes its way forward. As it creeps up to Jupiter, feelings around retrograde matters may feel amplified. Jupiter in Taurus has do with amplifying our resources. This can even be related to what emotional resources we have.
I think I said it well in my Taurus blog post last year.
‘Taurus is about knowing what you like, what you want, and not settling for less. Having personal values and being unbothered by other’s opinions, knowing you believe in what you are doing.
Taurus is also about knowing how to create a sense of control, peace, and simplicity. Connecting to anchors and structures, and even our material belongings. Learning “rhythm” in life, walking to the beat of our own drum. connecting to the earth, and knowing when to make your bed and sleep in those expensive silk sheets.”
With Venus in Leo in the mix squaring Jupiter we may be feeling like there’s something we wanted that we didn’t get. Ultimately I said it at the New Moon and I will say it again, love isn’t just about how much you pour into others. It’s also about filling your cup and sometimes even buying yourself flowers.
