Taurus relies on inter dependence: A New Moon in Taurus

The farmer relies on the land, a helper, his animals the weather, and perhaps his health. the internal, but mainly the external. We do not exist in a vaccum. As you farm or cook, or draw or write. Think about how many people were involved in creating the materials you are using.

Did someone make your coffee for you this morning? How many people does it take to keep one shop running smoothly? Who manufactures the cups? Stacks them and seals the bag, ships them out with a set of go lids. What about the beans? The extensive farming that went into them followed by a complete roasting process?

Cooking? Who harvested the vegetables you are cutting? Dried the herbs?

Who wrote the book you’re reading? How many people helped edit it? Who is it dedicated to?

Again we do not exist in a vacuum even when it appears as we do, we are built on intricate networks of care, even if things feel solitary.

This new moon I encourage you to see what your current life is built upon. The internal network of people who have inspired you. Encouraged you, been a resource in any way. I also encourage you to imagine the invisible labor of those around you, as well as those you may never meet.

The anonymous factory worker who made and canned the paint that colors your home, someone who bound your favorite note book or packaged the matcha you drink. How many steps went into getting the product that you love into your hands? How many of someone else’s resources did it take? What about your own resources? Do you extend gratitude into those invisible steps? Or are you unaware of those invisible steps?

Taurus relies on “being” on putting in the work. On routine. On taking its time. On cultivating a bounty.

On appreciating who we are right now while sitting in the grass.

Are we valid in our current state? Always. But can we learn to accept ourselves as we are right now?

That’s Taurus. What resources do we take for granted can we fill ourselves with that is not necessarily material in nature.

Resources can look like self esteem, like a side hustle that pours itself back into you. Like letting someone who loves you cook or clean for you while you’re sick.

Those resources don’t have to be expensive or hedonistic. They can simply be the effort of our selves or the ones we love and perhaps the resources that have already gone into the things we love and appreciate.
