Taurus is a Fixed sign marking the middle of spring. Fixed signs hold the seasons showing us where to stand firm in our resolve. Obviously our way is not always the right way and sometimes standing firm in the ways we have always done things benefits no one, not even ourselves.
Taurus is arguably the most sensual sign, as the first earth sign it relates deeply of nature and the earth. While Taurus appears very straight forward, you must remember the earth has layers.
Stick your hand in a pile of dirt. The top may be warm but the further you go the humidity and temperature starts to shift, and there is likely to be many a creature or surprise. what appears to be simple and straight forward often is the most complex, even if it’s only under the surface.
In the past I found myself accidentally dating or befriending people with heavy Taurus Placements for quite a stretch of my life. That being said Taurus gets slept on a lot (actually I’ll extend this to all earth signs) and sometimes are described poorly. I’m looking at you “stable and stubborn” there may be a bit of truth to that but still there is so much more to this sign. Taurus placements can be freaky. Taurus when devoted is unwavering. Taurus can also be very artistic, a craftsman, or simply a lover of the finer things, being a Venus ruled sign.
Taurus’ layers personally have always reminded me of Trap music. And not just any Trap music, dirt earth gunk, honey – thick trap that’s mainly about hedonism, expensive well-sewn garments, substance, fucking and being in your body. That’s Taurus, perhaps an extremely shadowy side but it is still applicable. It’s about knowing what you like, what you want, and not settling for less. Having personal values and being unbothered by others opinions, knowing you believe in what you are doing.
Taurus is also about knowing how to create a sense of control, peace, and simplicity. Connecting to anchors and structures, and even our material belongings. Learning “rhythm” in life, walking to the beat of our own drum. connecting to the earth, and knowing when to make your bed and sleep in those expensive silk sheets.
