Releasing Perfection: Virgo Full Moon Musings

The moon in Virgo opposes the Sun in Pisces at 27° 40’ on March 17th at 11:16 PM AKST

While the Sun in Pisces is still just 4° away from Neptune, Jupiter and Mercury sit in another Pisces decan. Perhaps we have been trapped in our daydreams. The moon in Virgo opposes 4 planets (the sun, Neptune and Jupiter.) Virgo is attempting to ground us, but we have already let go of the balloon. It’s floating in the atmosphere until we grasp what it is that we are searching for and float gently back to earth.

And perhaps if Virgo is trying to reach god, trying to reach perfection, attempt perfection, perform perfection. Pisces could be seen as the release of perfection to realize that we are already perfect, and that there is no part of us, that is not of the gods. Virgo also speaks of servitude, of serving others while not truly belonging to anything or anyone but ourselves. Pisces contrasts that by being in service to the realms of the unknown, of belonging purely to depth.

The Moon makes a trine to Pluto in Capricorn at 28°. Our emotions align with our desire for personal power, allowing us to align our hearts and our mind and facilitate needed change.

Mars sits at 9° Aquarius and Venus at 11° the pair are still traveling together but this time they are slowly separating as they cross through Aquarius. Passion, drive, and love for the original and eccentric collide. As these two love birds square off to Uranus we must balance our needs for freedom being contrasted with our needs for love, passion, and stability.

Overall this Full Moon has strong notes of moving on and bringing our dreams down from the ether so that we can ground them into our realities. Understanding that a dream is just a dream, and cannot be expanded upon until it is applied to something based in reality.
