Typing in the date for a new year always trips me up year after year, writing out that final number of the date is ALWAYS surreal. I’m left feeling like I haven’t accomplished all I was meant to, all that I wanted to. Regret sometimes sinks in here.
With the Sun in Capricorn the Seagoat has his eyes set on the prize and the mountain is ready to be climbed. Capricorn likes ambition, it will stop at nothing to accomplish what it set out for. The Moon in Capricorn at 12 degrees is less comfortable since it is in the sign of it’s detriment, what is good for our ambitions isn’t necessarily good for our emotions. What the moon in Capricorn is good at however is sticking to the plan. This moon is a great opportunity for setting our sights high on a goal and allowing our emotions stand behind said goal rather then standing in our way.
The Sun and Moon Trine Uranus in Taurus, there may be insights to how to overcome hurdles, original ideas bursting through or even just an opportunity to let originality seep into your work.
Venus and Pluto are still conjunct in Capricorn, power balances may be very unbalanced. We could be grasping for control in some way seeking to either find our personal power or tangible power. Both planets make a sextile to Neptune, allowing us to have intuitive insights or even growing pains surrounding our dreams and giving us the opportunity to sink or swim. That tik tok song “ Dream Sweet in Sea Major” comes to mind here.
“It feels like flying
But maybe we’re dying
A cosmic confluence of
Pyramids hologrammed”
Mars in Sagitarrius gives a cutting glance to Neptune in Pisces. As they are both Jupiter ruled signs I can imagine both planets are ready to go big or go home. But with Jupiter also entering Pisces, Neptune has no intention of passing the reins to Mars. There may be all or nothing attitudes circulating, or even being tempted to slip into the void for a moment. Mars sextiles Saturn in Aquarius and even with him chomping at the bit he may be willing to hold tight as Saturn saves his best rewards those with patience and discipline.
Saturn also makes a square to Uranus in Taurus, While Saturn isn’t into breaking the mould in Aquarius he is at least willing to bring some flair to the table, and with the sun and moon trining uranus while it may not be time to break the mould we may at least be able to pour our favorite color of resin into the mould and make something cool thats functional and lasts. Maybe even something neon and glittery. Like a true neon cowboy.
Mercury takes his first step into Aquarius letting our communication feel playful and helping our ideas to feel fresh, original even allowing us the opportunity to plant seeds. What a perfect New Moon for a New Year
